She is active in the areas of human rights and information technology and contract law, with particular focus on data protection and digital business matters.
She is affiliated with the Berkman-Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, a reference center for research on Internet regulation and its impacts on society. She is Director of the Institute for Technology and Society of Rio de Janeiro (ITS Rio). She coordinated the book ‘Brazil’s Internet Bill of Rights: annotated case law’ (Marco Civil da Internet: jurisprudência comentada” – Editora Revista dos Tribunais). She was a legal advisor at the Harvard Human Rights Clinic and a researcher at the Human Rights Watch, in New York.
