Practice: Vast experience and distinguished performance in corporate law, capital markets and M&A transactions. Advises Brazilian and foreign clients with businesses in Brazil, including limited liability and private companies, publicly-held corporations, their shareholders and administrators, as well as investment funds. Assists clients from numerous sectors, including logistics, telecommunications, mining, education, energy, oil and gas, engineering, technology, distribution, retail, among others. Current member of the Capital Markets’ Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ) and partner of the firm’s Corporate and Capital Markets practice.

Experience: Worked as a Federal Attorney at the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), and as a Professor at renowned law schools in Rio de Janeiro such as Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV Rio), Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (IBMEC), Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Assisted several Brazilian and foreign clients with respect to incorporation of companies, M&A transactions, investment agreements, shareholders' agreements, disputes between shareholders, shareholders' meetings, joint ventures, securities issuances and administrative proceedings under the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and the Appeal Council of the Brazilian National Financial System (CRSFN).

  • Counsel to Intelig Telecomunicações in its merger into TIM, in a transaction of approximately R$ 650 million. 2009
  • Counsel to LLX Logística in the investment of R$ 1.3 billion by EIG LLX Holdings by means of a private capital stock increase, whereby EIG became LLX’s controlling shareholder. 2013
  • Counsel to State Grid in the launch of a public tender offering for the acquisition of shares held by minority shareholders of CPFL Renováveis, in connection with the acquisition of the control of CPFL Energia, for approximately R$ 4 billion. 2018


  • In Sanctioning Proceeding No. 2012/7867, defended Telecom Italia, the controlling shareholder of TIM; a settlement agreement has been reached with CVM. 2013
  • In Sanctioning Proceeding No. 11/2012, defended FUNCEF, as shareholder of Petrobras; CVM imposed a warning sanction against FUNCEF. 2014
  • In Sanctioning Proceeding No. PAS 2014/6225, defended the Directors of Prumo Logística; the defendants were acquitted by CVM. 2017
  • In Sanctioning Proceeding No. PAS RJ2018/4157, defended Eike Fuhrken Batista as Director or Officer of CCX, OGX, LLX, MMX, MPX, OSX, EBX and Centennial; the defendant was acquitted. 2021
